Very Simple Fall Decorations: Brilliant Fall Crafts for The Entire Family
The autumn season is going to be here before you know it and right now is the time to think about your seasonal decorations. Get family members along side each other for a bit of autumn amusement with these very easy fall decorations! These particular crafts will get the entire family on board with the fall fun.
Harvest Window Box: Break away from basic window box designs of chrysanthemums or pansies. This harvest season, why don’t you consider something new? Add a heavy layer of straw or dried grass to the planter, making sure that some of it cascades down the sides and front. Collect gourds and pumpkins of several shapes, styles, and shades; assemble these in your window boxes for a cute harvest display. For added family fun, have the little ones paint happy faces on the pumpkins! If the children are older, metallic paint in deep harvest shades will bring a bit of elegance to the window box and involve them with the project.
Lovely Autumn Porch: When the summer season passes, our patios can often be left ignored and overlooked. Change that bare porch into a platform for your fall decorations! The staircase going up to your porch could very well be flanked with big pumpkins, embellished by the children as indicated above. And then for additional color, buy a metal wreath frame from a hobby store and deploy the children outside into the garden to gather fall leaves. Using floral craft wire and a glue gun, glue the leaves to the frame. You now have a one of a kind wreath that the entire family helped create.
Wonderful Fall Potpourri: Absolutely nothing creates the mood of autumn more than the delicious smells of cinnamon and apple in rich cider-like scents. Fill your home with that tasty aroma while making enduring memories with your family by making your own autumn potpourri! Send the children out into the garden to harvest the last blossoms of the season, pinecones, and even thick dried leaves. Coarsely chop these and add them to a glass bowl. Purchase your preferred liquid potpourri oils in fall fragrances and pour it throughout the gathered garden goods. Cover with plastic and let it cure for a few weeks and your family now has its very own signature potpourri blend!
Fall Leaf Collage: It is very hard to totally change your dcor with the seasons, but you and your family can make a one-of-a-kind focal point for your living room. Go with your children out into the yard and collect leaves, but this time be sure that the leaves are still pliable. Let them collect plenty, this craft has to have a number of leaves. When you’re back inside; press these leaves between the pages of a heavy book for about a week until they are flat and smooth. Buy a large picture frame from a discount store, the bigger the better! Have the kids help you glue the leaves to an inexpensive sheet of poster board that has been cut to fit the frame. I advise cutting the stems off the leaves, but my daughter thinks that it’s best to leave them on, it’s a matter of choice. Once the entire board is decorated, permit to dry, and spray with dried floral preservative. Place your masterpiece in the frame and appreciate your family’s fine art!
These are just a couple of fun fall projects for you and your family. Why not enhance your creations with some trendy fall decorations? Get the entire family involved this autumn season and make traditions for years to come!
