Organize and Love Your Kitchen Space
Many of us wake up in the morning and grimly look at our kitchen with dismay. By the time you have conquered the pile of dishes in the sink, half of your morning is gone and you have no time or motivation to do anything else such as cook.
Would you not love to be able to open your fridge door at any time and be proud of the way it looks? Would it not be such a timesaver to know exactly where each dish and pan is always located? Many of us do not spend time in our kitchens simply because we do not enjoy the way they look. It would take you just a few simple steps to organize and clean this area to make it a space you love being in.

If your kitchen is really a disaster, you might want to start with a trash bag. Set your timer for five minutes and throw away as many outdated or garbage items as quickly as you can. This includes your fridge and your cabinets! Doing this will clear away a lot of the stuff and make things look a little better already.
Now you need to tackle all those dirty dishes and get them put away. Set your timer and see how quickly you can do this. Take everything off your countertops, one at a time, and wash them off well. When everything is put back, you will be very pleased with yourself for how clean and neat it looks! The fridge and cabinets will need to be tackled as well, but taking babysteps will allow you to conquor your kitchen without getting frazzled. You can break these steps up into a few days or a week; whatever you need!
Now you can tackle the kitchen sink. Get rid of any dishes you have that need washed and empty the sink out totally. Fill it to the rim with hot water and add a cup of bleach. Allow this solution to soak in your sinks for at least an hour, then drain and rinse them well. If you have a stainless steel sink, you can now use Brillo pads to scrub it and get in all those little cracks and crevices. Whatever you use, scrub it until it shines, and then use a dishcloth to dry it out. This shiny sink will make you so happy!
Now that the kitchen has been cleaned, the test lies in keeping it this way. If you will take a few extra minutes at the end of each day to wipe down your counters and leave your sink shiny, you will wake up the next morning and happily walk into your kitchen with confidence. Take a minute every week before you go grocery shopping to wipe down and reorganize your fridge while it is a little emptier. You will thank yourself later!
You should also work to work to make your kitchen a reflection of who you are using colors and general dcor. Make it a space that you love being and you will find yourself wanting to spend time there!
